Dr. Ritu Mogra is a highly accomplished Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with subspecialty certification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology Ultrasound. She is renowned for her expertise in fetal medicine, with a distinguished career spanning clinical care, education, and research. Ritu's journey began in India, where she completed her initial medical and obstetrics training. In 2001, she moved to Australia to pursue advanced training, where she discovered a profound passion for fetal medicine. Her dedication led her to subspecialise in Obstetrics and Gynaecology Ultrasound at the prestigious Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) Hospital in Sydney.Her unique training experience—both in Australia and overseas—has endowed her with unparalleled clinical acumen, particularly in managing rare and complex obstetric complications.
Ritu perfected her expertise in fetal cardiology during her fellowship at King’s College Hospital, London, under the mentorship of the renowned Professor Lindsey Allan. This transformative experience shaped her subspecialty focus on early fetal echocardiography, particularly in the screening, diagnosis, and management of congenital heart defects. She has been instrumental in developing these advanced services at RPA Hospital and Sydney Ultrasound for Women, enhancing access to world-class care for patients across New South Wales.
Currently, Ritu serves as the Head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Ultrasound at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and as a consultant at Sydney Ultrasound for Women. Her clinical practice focuses on guiding patients through the diagnosis, counseling, and management of pregnancies affected by fetal abnormalities. For Ritu, the most fulfilling aspect of her work is providing compassionate and competent care to patients navigating the challenges of fetal anomalies.
With a heart full of passion, she mentors medical students, obstetrics registrars, and subspecialty trainees, both in Australia and internationally. As a core member of the COGU subspecialty and a COGU Subspecialty Examiner, she’s like the gatekeeper of knowledge, ensuring that future generations of doctors are well-equipped to tackle whatever comes their way.
Ritu believes that sharing knowledge is as vital as any medical intervention. And she’s not just about academia; she thrives on organising and leading courses and conferences for trainees and specialists. When it comes to spreading knowledge, she’s like a relentless firework, lighting up the sky with her enthusiasm!

Prof Jon Hyett
Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Western Sydney University
Professor Hyett is a highly accomplished specialist in obstetrics and maternal-fetal medicine. He received his formal training in the United Kingdom, before relocating to Australia to further his career. With a unique combination of clinical excellence and a deep commitment to advancing medical research, he has led several research groups dedicated to improving obstetric care. His leadership has been instrumental in driving forward clinically focused research that aims to enhance the standards of care for both mothers and their unborn children.A key area of Professor Hyett's research is the prediction of pregnancy complications, an endeavor that holds great potential for improving maternal and neonatal outcomes. His pioneering work focuses on identifying risk factors for complications such as pre-eclampsia, a condition that can pose serious risks to both the mother and baby. His research aims to provide accurate risk assessments at critical stages of pregnancy—either early in the first trimester (around 12 weeks) or later, just before delivery (at 36 weeks). This predictive approach allows for more timely and targeted interventions, improving the chances of healthy outcomes for mothers and their babies.
Currently, Professor Hyett is leading the MFM unit at Liverpool hospital and SWS Obstetric Research Unit. His work in this area is setting new benchmarks in obstetric research, potentially transforming how clinicians approach the management of high-risk pregnancies.
In addition to his research, Professor Hyett is deeply passionate about education. He actively teaches and trains the next generation of obstetricians and maternal-fetal medicine specialists. His involvement spans Australian and international settings, where he participates in educational courses and workshops, sharing his extensive knowledge and experience to elevate the standards of care worldwide.

Dr Adam Mackie

Dr. Mackie is an experienced obstetrician and gynaecologist practicing both privately and publicly on Sydney's lower north shore and inner west. A Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG), he is passionate about obstetrics and has committed himself to continuously advancing his skills and knowledge to provide the most up-to-date, high-quality care for his patients.Known for his generous approach, Dr. Mackie takes the time to listen and empower women, helping them make informed decisions that are right for them. He is dedicated to guiding and supporting women and their families through the exciting and sometimes challenging journey of childbirth.
